OBJECTIVES: A bi-directional relationship exists between nutrition and oral health. Optimal nutrition is correlated to oral health including oral mucosa, dentition, quality/quantity of saliva, and connective tissue -periodontium. Oral disease can impair nutritional status. This webinar will attempt to discuss the importance of nutritional status and oral health.
Understand and define the significance of nutrition and digestion to oral health.
Discuss the synergistic relation between nutrition and oral-systemic health status.
Define the importance of nutrition to the integrity of the oral cavity and the impact of oral disease on nutritional status.
Discuss digestive disorders and treatment relative oral health.
