Public Health Ontario issues bulletin that hydrogen peroxide should no longer be recom
mended as a pre-operative mouth rinse due to lack of efficacy versus SARS-CoV-2.
A university study recently published in the International Journal of Experimental Dental Science showed that 1.5% hydrogen peroxide was minimally effective against SARS-CoV-2, and that a high level molecular iodine rinse was the only one to be fully effective in the testing.
