Dr. Kirsten Roling, DDS

Dr. Kirsten Roling, DDS is the Chief Education Officer for Dental CE Academy administered by Virtual Dontics® Education LLC. She began her career in dentistry as a Registered Dental Assistant when PPE was non-existent in the dental operatory. She then completed dental school training at the University of California, San Francisco; during the height of the HIV/AIDS Pandemic.  Dr. Roling is a passionate public health dentist, credited as an early pioneer of Teledentistry. Her clinical practice spans rural to urban settings,  pediatrics to geriatrics. Previously an Assistant Clinical Professor, UCSF; and Public Health Preceptor, Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health, Dr. Roling also held the position as Chief for the Office of Oral Health, Maricopa County, Department of Public Health where she administered the nation's largest pediatric and maternal oral health prevention programs for the third largest U.S. public health department.


She is a recipient of the Pediatric Oral Health Access Program (POHAP) scholarship, completing a post-graduate program in pediatric dentistry, and provided pro dental services  to thousands of at risk infants and foster children.

 

She has completed certification through the American Dental Education Association in conjunction with the Academy of Academy Leadership and Institute for Allied Health Educators "Advances in Educational Methodology." She was the executive producer of "Health Senior Living" a radio broadcast, in Phoenix, Arizona dedicated to the health challenges of older adults.

 

Her career has been featured in the Arizona Dental Association's Journal Inscriptions, and In 2017 she was published in the Journal of Public Health Dentistry, Temporal association of implementation of the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) with changes in dental-related emergency department visits in Maricopa County from 2006 to 2012; followed by a feature interview in 2018 by National Public Radio highlighting the challenges of geriatric dentistry.

She later completed a degree in Executive Non-profit Management, Brandman University; having assisted hundreds of nonprofit organizations and in 2017 became the executive director and co-founder of Henry Bibby All Stars. Alongside retired NBA player and Coach Henry Bibby, she helps to provide basketball camps and oral health services to underserved and at-risk youth.
